Common questions about garden room design, planning and construction.
Do garden rooms require planning permission?
Most fall under permitted development and do not require planning permission, provided they meet certain size and height restrictions. Every property is different, so we will confirm the position before work begins.
Can a garden room be used all year round?
Yes. Ours are fully insulated and built with proper materials so they stay comfortable through the winter, not just the summer.
Can you run power and water to it?
Power, lighting and data are run from the house as standard. Water and drainage are possible depending on the layout of your garden, and we will tell you what is involved at the quotation stage.
How long does a garden room take to build?
Most take between 3 and 6 weeks on site once groundworks are complete, depending on size and specification.
